, Delayed Obedience is Still Disobedience: Lessons from the Relaunch of Last Frontier Designs

Introduction
We’ve all been there, praying for God to open doors in our lives, waiting for that moment when everything aligns perfectly. But here’s the truth: when God opens a door, it’s up to us to walk through it. Faith without action is incomplete. As James 2:17 (NIV) reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

This is a lesson I learned the hard way during the relaunch of Last Frontier Designs. Today, I want to share my journey with you, a story of missed opportunities, grace, and ultimately, obedience.

The Call to Relaunch
In December, after a long season of loss, healing, and growth, God put it on my heart to relaunch Last Frontier Designs. I circled January 24, 2025, on my calendar as the official relaunch date. It felt right, like a God-led moment.

But as January came and went, I found myself busy with other projects. I told myself I was focusing on clients, not on myself. It sounded noble, even selfless, but deep down, I knew the truth—it was disobedience disguised as busyness.

The Wake-Up Call
By April, I was handing out business cards when God stopped me in my tracks: “What will people find when they visit your website?”

Oof. At that moment, my website was nothing more than a “Coming Soon” page. That same day, a good friend asked me, “From January 24 to now, what have you missed by not being obedient? What opportunities came and went?”

That question hit me hard. I realized I had been waiting on God to move, but He was waiting on me to obey.

The Turning Point
Isaiah 1:19 (NIV) says, “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.” I had the willingness, but I wasn’t walking in obedience. I wasn’t stepping through the open door God had placed before me.

That moment of conviction led me to action. I repented and got to work. I poured my heart into the relaunch, and within weeks, Last Frontier Designs officially went live.

The Lesson Learned
This journey taught me a lesson I’ll carry forever: delayed obedience is still disobedience. But thank God for His grace and second chances.

If you’re sitting on something God has called you to do, I urge you to take that step of faith. What’s on the other side of obedience is far greater than what you’re holding onto in fear or procrastination.

The Relaunch of Last Frontier Designs
Today, Last Frontier Designs is live, and the mission is clear: to empower small to medium-sized businesses and non-profits in Alaska with high-quality, affordable web design services.

Conclusion
Remember, faith requires action. As James 2:17 (NIV) says, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Don’t let fear or busyness hold you back from what God has called you to do. Step through the door He’s opened for you—you won’t regret it.

Let’s build something together, with purpose and faith leading the way.
